Park MGM Hotel: New Porte Cochère
MGM’s newly renovated combo-resort, featuring the luxury Park MGM and posh NoMad Las Vegas, is nearly complete. In conjunction with the interior renovation, the hardscape and entrance zones are also being revitalized.
The hotels will have separate entrances and amenities for their guests, with the Park MGM occupying a majority of the resort. New York-based landscape architect, !melk, designed the new porte cochères using a combination of marble and granite pavers. The paving design for Park MGM features six different stones, sourced from two different countries, combining square and brick-sized cobbles in a trendy chevron pattern. The color palette is mostly dark earth-tone shades, aside from the white granite curbs that provide a beautiful contrast.
The entrance for the NoMad hotel will also feature a mix of natural stone pavers with a stunning medallion at the center to welcome guests. The design is being finalized and construction will commence in the coming months.
The Park MGM remained open and operational during the entire transformation, while the NoMad Las Vegas is set to officially open its doors sometime this year.
