Classic Stone LLC (Classic Stone) is thrilled to be working on Columbia University’s new Manhattanville campus in New York City. The $6.3B urban campus extension spans across 17 acres and includes publicly accessible open space, tree-lined plazas, and innovative buildings.

Classic Stone is working with James Corner Field Operations on phase 1 providing granite cobbles for pedestrian walkways throughout the public plazas. The entire campus is centered around the sprawling public space where creative minds come together to collaborate in research and study.

The onetime industrial zone will unfold over decades, with the first three buildings completed in the spring of 2018. The new campus is the nation’s first university campus plan designated Stage 1 LEED Platinum.
