In 2014, Al Jazeera Finance opened their Salwa Road branch in Doha, Qatar. The three-story building features a mix of retail tenants on the first floor with office space above.
With a quarry-to-project approach, Classic Stone sourced, supplied, and installed 40,000 sqft of cladding for the project. Designed by Mimar Consult, the building features a unique visual pattern created with Teakwood sandstone from India. In addition to being durable and lightweight, the golden-colored stone complements the surrounding Arabian desert and maintains a high Solar Reflectance Index for a natural cooling effect.
With a strong team of skilled masons, installation was completed in three months using an anchorage system from Turkey. Along with the exterior stone, Classic Stone also supplied 4,000 sqft of marble flooring for the interior of the building. Final adjustments, including waterjet cutting, was completed in our local fabrication shop.
