The new Eskenazi Hospital and Health Campus in downtown Indianapolis opened in 2013. This modern 37-acre complex replaces the nearby Wishard Memorial Hospital and includes a 315-bed hospital linked by a two-level concourse to a 275-exam room ambulatory care clinic, a faculty office building, parking garage, two utility buildings, and public plazas.
Classic Stone worked closely with HOK, project architect, to create the impressive donor wall in the main entrance of the hospital. Tundra Gray marble was used in both polished and honed finishes with staggered and varied thicknesses to create a multidimensional design. This unique tiered panel system was customized at our factory to ensure a smooth installation on-site.
The new facility achieved LEED Gold certification from the USGBC and was the first hospital campus in the state of Indiana to receive this recognition.
