Qatar Executive, the corporate jet division of Qatar Airways, opened their private jet terminal at Hamad International Airport in 2016.
The terminal is pure luxury, with a collection of high-end furniture and lavish materials and finishes. The main space, with its dramatic vaulted ceilings and elegant lighting, features zoned lounges providing a variety of privacy levels for ultimate comfort.
A prestigious collection of natural stone was sourced and supplied from Europe and Turkey. The material was used for flooring tiles, custom water features, and exterior cladding.
One of the most critical elements intended to enhance the guest experience within the lounge was the extensive use of water features, totaling 18. Classic Stone worked closely with York Design International, based out of London, to ensure each water feature element adhered to the rigid specifications during fabrication. This included on-site factory inspections by the design team. Each unit weighed nearly two tons and required special handling and packaging.
Construction was completed in the spring of 2016. The new facility is one of the most sophisticated and technologically advanced FBO terminals in the world.
