The Hilton Columbus Downtown hotel is nestled in the urban hub of Columbus, close to dining, shops, the Convention Center and The Ohio State University. The contemporary space features over 500 rooms, 48 suites and over 22,000 sqft of additional meeting and convention space.
Classic Stone collaborated closely with HOK and Simeone Deary during the design and specification stage of the project. The process included multiple design meetings, material sampling and testing prior to final stone selections. Shadow and Tundra Gray marble were used for flooring, wall cladding, columns and stairways throughout the lobby, restaurant and atrium area. The two stones pair well together providing a contrast of light and dark gray hues.
During construction, Classic Stone visited the site periodically to assist with installation questions pertaining to our stone and to ensure certain design elements were achieved. The hotel greeted its first guests in late October, 2013.
