Located in Manhattan’s prestigious Upper East Side, The Marquand is a historical 12-story building recently converted into luxury condominium residences.
As part of the overall renovation, the exteriors were also upgraded. Mathews Nielsen Landscape Architects designed an elegant courtyard with a perfect balance between the softscape and hardscape elements.
Dark Luna granite was sourced and supplied for the pavers, cobbles, and stair treads throughout the courtyard. The dark stone provides a beautiful contrast with the light building facade and easily masks the wear and tear of heavy foot traffic.
The restoration and modernization of The Marquand was completed in 2015.
