University of Chicago | Logan Center for the Arts

UChicago’s new art center provides a vital new gathering space for Chicago’s arts community. The 11-story building features 184,000 sqft of mixed-use space, including classrooms, studios, rehearsal rooms, and exhibition and performance spaces. The elegant building design features a combination of glass and stone.

Classic Stone was chosen to supply a regionally sourced material for the exterior cladding. Over 90,000 sqft of EW Gold limestone from Missouri was used. The design consisted of a mix of sizes, including large panels and small brick sizes. The Logan Arts Center went on to achieve LEED Gold certification.
