Construction Continues At The Arcade Project
Construction continues at The Arcade project in Chicago and the exterior walls are starting to take shape. The building facade, designed by Efficiency Labs, features a mix of limestone and granite with a unique serrated edge.
Over 25,000 sqft of stone was sourced and supplied from Turkey and will be installed using a kerf system. With a large number of detailed cuts, stone fabrication was challenging and precision was vital. Facade installation began in late May and is expected to conclude in mid-July.
The interior fit-out is nearly complete and includes 58 residential units, an expansive lobby, and an amenity floor. The interiors are modern with a cool color scheme. The kitchens feature dark granite countertops and backsplashes with high-end finishes and cabinetry. Black marble vanity tops, paired with porcelain wall and floor tiles, create a clean, timeless look in the bathrooms (107 total).
Developed by Borekci Real Estate, The Arcade is in close proximity to Loyola University and will serve as a transit-oriented building with a combination of retail and residential space.
The grand opening and tenant move-in date is slated for August, 2019.
