A new stone contract was awarded to Classic Stone LLC (Classic Stone) for The View Hospital, a prestigious new hospital currently under construction in the Al Qutaifiya district.

Operated by Elegancia Healthcare, and affiliated with internationally renowned Cedars-Sinai Medical Center based in Los Angeles, the state-of-the-art facility will define the future of healthcare in Qatar. The 15-story, 242-bed hospital offers a comprehensive range of world-class medical services and facilities, marking an important expansion of private healthcare in the country.

Classic Stone was awarded a furnish & install cladding contract with UCC, main contractor for the project. “We have a long-standing project history with UCC in the region and are thrilled to be working with them again on this extraordinary new hospital,” remarks Doruk Borekci, CEO of Classic Stone. “The setting and design are spectacular and it is truly an honor to be a part of the team that will help bring it all to life!”

The scope of work includes over 20,000 sqft of limestone cladding, which will be used for both exterior and interior applications. Sourced from Turkey, a light beige limestone will be supplied in a sleek, honed finish and used on the first two floors of the exterior façade near the hospitals main entrance and on the roof. As we move inside the building, the same stone is continued for the walls in the lobby and in the elevator corridors.

Material submittals and shop drawings are in process with production starting in a few weeks. Installation is slated for February/March 2022.

The View Hospital is on track to welcome their first patients in August 2022.
