Developed by Borekci Real Estate, a sister company of Classic Stone, The Arcade project is a new seven-story, mixed-use development in Chicago, Illinois. Located near Loyola University, it will serve as a transit-oriented building with retail and residential space.
Classic Stone sourced and supplied over 90,000 sqft of stone for the project. The building’s exterior, designed by Efficiency Labs, features a combination of limestone and granite in a sleek, honed finish with a unique serrated edge. With a large number of detailed cuts, the fabrication was challenging and precision was vital. Installation was completed using a kerf system.
The interiors, designed by Hirsch MPG, include 58 residential units, an expansive lobby, and amenity floor. The space is modern and sophisticated with a cool color scheme and upscale finishes. The kitchens feature dark granite countertops and backsplashes with high-end cabinetry and premium appliances from Beko. Black marble vanity tops, paired with light porcelain wall and floor tiles, create a clean, sharp look in the master and secondary bathrooms (107 total).
The lobby is inviting and trendy, with marble and granite flooring, custom marble furniture, and carved limestone wall panels. Marble pavers were also supplied for the outdoor terrace on the amenity floor.
Construction was completed on schedule and a grand opening took place in late July.
